It is important to maintain your furnace. Regular
maintenance will keep your heating system running
efficiently, economically, and safely. A well-maintained
furnace is also less likely to break down, and
that means that you can sleep comfortably through
those cold winter nights. HU-ERO’s furnace maintenance program is an
affordable way to ensure that your home has dependable,
consistent heat throughout the long, cold winter
season. HU-ERO's technician will give your furnace
a top-to-bottom 22-point check, including the following:
• Safety test for carbon monoxide
• Check operation of thermostat and safety
controls
• Check air filters and reinstall
• Clean motor and fan
• Check blower operation
• Chick condition, tension, and alignment
of fan belt, and adjust, if necessary
• Clean burners and set for proper combustion
and ignition.

Why is it important
to have your air ducts cleaned?
Over time, dust, pollen, dirt, and other particles
can build up in your ducts. They can also be home
to bacteria and molds. This build-up affects the
quality of the air you breathe, can cause serious
problems for people with allergies and asthma, and
may even reduce the airflow through the ducts.
How does HU-ERO clean
your ducts? A portable vacuum, about the size of a small fridge
is taken down into your furnace room area. Two 12-inch
holes are cut into your heating ducts, one on the
hot air side, and one on the cold air return. The
furnace is blocked off so that no dust goes through
the system. All registers are covered with plastic.
The vacuum is then connected to the hot air side
and an air hose is brought in from a compressor
in the trailer. When the system is turned on, air
is blown down the registers to loosen the dust and
then pushed back into the vacuum. |
